All lessons can be taught via distance learning. Here are some options for distance learning:
SKYPE (online / internet -free video calls with text option -more information below).
TELEPHONE
FACETIME (for iPhones -free video calls)
OTHER (e.g. Google Hangouts)
(I usually use Skype as it is free and easy and so my preferred option. Some clients however prefer to call me on the phone or use a form of messenger -all methods are fine).
Where appropriate we can use Google Classroom. I mainly use this for groups (I will explain if relevant).
Benefits / Why Many People Prefer Distance Learning:
Saves travel time and costs.
Worried parents can be assured that their children are safe. (I have a perfect, clear CRB police check certificate from the UK which means I am legally approved to work with children. You are welcome to see this).
Continue regular lessons even if you leave the country or if you cannot attend lessons in-person.
Flexibility e.g without needing to travel you can fit a lesson into you lunch break, etc.
Skype Explained:
Skype is a free internet calling service which takes a few minutes to set up.
It allows you to make free unlimited calls using voice, webcam, messaging (written text) & it allows for attachments.
You can call from/to anywhere in the world for free (between two Skype accounts) or there are excellent package rates if you are calling a landline or mobile.
Some countries require a VPN in order for Skype to work effectively.
Options: Using Skype:
Talk, as if on the phone. This is usually done via computers however, if you have a Skype app on your phone, tablet or iPad then you can call from your mobile device. (Skype also has a free app that you can download to your smart phone or device).
Using Skype or a similar service on a computer.
Type to one another whilst talking (or instead of talking).
Send one another attachments via Skype -useful, for example, if you have a document you would like to send me toedit and discuss.
